Backflow Device Testing & Certification — Kansas

Annual testing required. We test, document, and certify backflow preventers on fire protection systems statewide.

  • Kansas requires annual backflow preventer testing on all fire protection system water connections
  • Myers AFP tests, certifies, and files documentation with your water authority — statewide
  • We repair or replace devices that fail testing and handle the re-test to restore compliance

Annual testing. No exceptions.

If your fire sprinkler system connects to the municipal water supply, there's a backflow preventer on that line — and it needs to be tested annually. This isn't optional. It's required by NFPA 25, local plumbing codes, and most water utilities.

We work with local authorities across Kansas and Oklahoma to keep backflow prevention devices current and fully compliant with all required testing and maintenance intervals. We test reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assemblies, double check valve assemblies, and pressure vacuum breakers, and provide a written test report for your records.

If a device fails testing, we can repair or replace it and perform the re-test to bring you back into compliance.
